Educare all’antico is a project, led by R. Di Donato, concerning teaching classics at secondary school. It was financed mainly by the Educational Board of Pisa Area (Provincia di Pisa), and supported also by the Department of Classics at the University of Pisa.
We have produced materials both for students and teachers, have organised seminars, meetings and a great final meeting involving university teachers, primary and secondary school teachers as well as students from primary and secondary school. A series of texts has been published as Quaderni (Greek and Latin Texts in Italian translation with a commentary for young students of primary school) and as books concerning school teaching in Italy (such as R. Di Donato, L’arca di Noè. Contributi a una riforma della scuola, ETS, Pisa 2006).
